1. Delete your account from the app
Sign in at app.merkchat.com and go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This deletes your user account and the associated data in your workspace.
2. Delete Facebook / Instagram data
If you connected an Instagram or Messenger account, you can disconnect it under Settings → Channels inside the app. On disconnect, we delete the access tokens and the data obtained through that integration (messages and identifiers for that account).
You can also revoke Merkchat's access from your own account: on Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites; on Instagram → Settings → Apps and websites. Remove “Merkchat” from the list.
3. Request deletion by email
Email us at [email protected] with the subject “Delete my data”, including your account email or the associated Instagram/Facebook user identifier. We will process your request within 30 days and confirm once completed.
4. What we delete
We delete the personal data associated with your account or with the specified Facebook/Instagram account (profile, identifiers, tokens, messages, and files processed through the integration). We may retain, only for as long as required by law, data we must keep due to a legal obligation (for example, billing records).
